The staff is wonderful, the community is quiet and friendly, and the building managers clearly care about the retaining happy renters. Major downside - pet fees. Of course we agreed to them, but that's because so few places even allow pets at all. I've had to pay a one-time pet fee once in another apartment, and none at all in our last one. It's expensive enough having a cat and a dog without the upfront fee followed by a monthly fee of 70. It's not like we won't be responsible for damage done to the apartment when we move, so on top of that paying a premium just to have our pets is kind of frustrating. Minor downsides - Wood floors very sensitive to scuffs and to liquid, so I had to cover up a spot where the floor soaked up the condensation from the bottom of a soda can and raised significantly - Sound I can hear my neighbor's kids screaming and their feet pounding in the hallways even when i'm in my bedroom with the door closed. You can also hear the conversations people are having in their apartments when you're in the hallway, so be mindful of your own if you don't want people listening in. It's strange hearing people's arguments, Also while it's not as bad as past apartments, I can also hear the baby of those same neighbors crying late at night when i'm in my bedroom, as well as door slamming and what might be things falling or something, can't quite tell. It's not too bad, and a pair of earplugs drowns it out.
