submitted by Elizabeth T. - |Recommended: YesWonderful Apartment Complex in Norwalk — I chose this property due to proximity to my work as well as a location with convenient amenities nearby. Also I also loved the different apartment layouts and glad with what I ended up choosing for myself. Rent is comparable to anywhere else in Norwalk. You get covered parking which is great, however it is a bit difficult to park as there are concrete slabs in between every 2 or 3 spots. Apartments are clean with nice layouts and there definitely is less noise with concrete walls. A lot of little activities here where you can meet neighbors if you want. Staff is very helpful, welcoming, and professional. Maintenance does respond to requests.

submitted by Natacha M. - |Recommended: YesCleanliness — I like that everything I need is right in my community... like updates on what’s happening stores, gym, pool.
submitted by Christopher B. - |Recommended: YesGreat apartment and staff — Love my actual apartment. Staff that works here is great. At times, some of the tenants are rude, leave garbage. For the amount you pay for rent, you'd expect a little better from the tenants, but overall I do enjoy living here

submitted by Susan M. - |Recommended: YesQuality building with professional management and tenant support. — The Merritt River Apartments provides opportunities to socialize with the community of tenants, and the friendly staff families can get to know each other, and individuals living alone are equally able to find neighbors with common interests. If you have a penchant for going it alone, however, it's entirely possible to come and go with ninja stealth, the occasional elevator nod as the only intrusion on your privacy. The wall between my apartment and the next completely blocked all noise once in a while I could hear furniture scraping or banging from the apartment above, so if this is a major issue for you, see if they still have carpeted units for you to live beneath. . I lived right above the railroad station. Construction noise from the new apartments down the road was more disruptive, and there were times I was annoyed by the train enough to take notice, but not enough to regret my apartment selection. It was great to take the train into Manhattan for the evening after working in Norwalk, and still be home before bedtime . The one thing that could make that experience better is a more direct path to the building entrance from the station. My main goal was for a short commute to work in Norwalk, and this apartment not only satisfied that, but is near grocery, restaurants, shopping and the Merritt Parkway. I looked at apartments nearby, as well as in South Norwalk and if my work brought me back to Norwalk, I would rent at Merritt River Apartments again.
